The Fantastic Four were no match for Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation. The superhero film starring Miles Teller and Michael B. Jordan brought in only $26.2 million in its opening debut, allowing Tom Cruise and his motorcycle to hold on to the No. 1 spot with $29.4 million, according to Box Office Mojo.

Jason Bateman's new thriller The Gift, meanwhile, did better than expected in its opening weekend, coming in at No. 3 with $12 million, while Vacation and Ant-Man both fell two spots to Nos. 4 and 5 with $9.1 million and $7.8 million, respectively.
