The Boston Red Sox are returning to the World Series.
On Saturday night, the Sox beat the Detroit Tigers, taking the American League Championship Series 4 to 2.
"It was a special moment," Shane Victorino, whose grand slam in the seventh winning led the team to victory, said after the game. "It's been a special year. We all battled, and special moments like this, you cherish it."
On Wednesday (8/7c on Fox), the World Series will begin at Fenway Park where the Sox will reunite with the St. Louis Cardinals. In 2004, Boston beat St. Louis, putting an end to the "curse" stemming from the organization selling Babe Ruth to the New York Yankees in 1919. Boston last won the pennant in 2007 over Colorado.
