One Day at a Timestar Bonnie Franklin has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, USA Today reports.

The actress is currently undergoing her treatment and is "continuing with her normal schedule," a family spokesman said in a statement. "She and her family remain extremely positive and thank everyone for their support and concern. Respect for her privacy is greatly appreciated," the statement said.

Franklin, 68, is best known for starring on the sitcom One Day a Time from 1975 to 1984. She played a single mom raising two teenage daughters, played by Valerie Bertinelli and Mackenzie Phillips. Franklin recently reunited with Bertinelli on TV Land's Hot in Cleveland and just wrapped up an arc on The Young and the Restless.

Phillips tweeted out a message of support for Franklin shortly news of her diagnosis broke Monday. "Sending out love and sweet prayers to my 'mom.' The incomparable Bonnie Franklin."
