Netflix pulled back the curtain on the upcoming Season 5 of Black Mirror, revealing a trio of mysterious teasers for the new episodes alongside the briefest of brief descriptions. Get ready to experience what some might call anticipation!

First up is "Smithereens," which stars Andrew Scott, Damson Idris, and a New Age-y Topher Grace. Here's the plot summary: "A cab driver with an agenda becomes the centre of attention on a day that rapidly spirals out of control." Not much there! But as the trailer explains, Scott plays the cab driver, who takes an employee at a company called Smithereen hostage and bemoans the fact that people are addicted to their smartphones. Next is "Rachel, Jack And Ashley, Too" (no Oxford comma for Black Mirror, y'all, the future IS dark!). That episode stars Miley Cyrus, Angourie Rice, and Madison Davenport. Here's the plot: "A lonely teenager yearns to connect with her favorite pop star -- whose charmed existence isn't quite as rosy it appears..." Intriguing, as is the teaser which shows not just Cyrus as a sad starlet, but a smart home device with her voice becoming sentient. Trailer here:

Last up is "Striking Vipers," starring Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Beharie, Pom Klementieff, and Ludi Lin. The logline: "Two estranged college friends reunite in later life, triggering a series of events that could alter their lives forever." That's vague on its own, but the trailer takes things to another level. "Nothing is going on," claims Mackie's character in the teaser. "I promise." Liar! Something is definitely going on! It's Black Mirror. Trailer here:

Black Mirror Season 5 debuts via Netflix on June 5.
