I just figured out why Mike Ausiello isn't doing today's column: The children's advocacy agency UNICEF has developed an antiwar cartoon that depicts the Smurf village being mercilessly obliterated by dive-bombing planes. The 25-second clip, to air in Belgium next week, is part of a fundraising effort to help rehabilitate former child soldiers in Burundi.
