The Craziest Moments from the Billboard Music Awards – in GIFs

Awards and performances may have been the main attraction at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night, but there were also plenty of eyebrow-raising moments (sometimes literally) behind the scenes as well. Fortunately, vigilant social media users were on hand to capture all of the crazy happenings and immortalize them online. Here are the five wackiest moments from the awards, in GIF form:

Justin Bieber booed at Billboard Music Awards

5. Tracy Morgan Dances with Psy: Korean pop sensation Psy, he of "Gangnam Style" fame, was on hand to introduce performer Chris Brown. When he got on stage to do so, however, host Tracy Morgan challenged him to a dance-off.

4. Nicki Minaj Gives Lil Wayne a Lap Dance: Nicki Minaj had a pretty successful night at the awards show, taking home three trophies including Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Album. But, judging from Lil Wayne's reaction to her twerking during a performance of "High School," she should probably stick to the studio.

3. Miley Cyrus Is Not Impressed: It was a rough night for Justin Bieber. Though he took home two awards, the teen sensation was the target of shade thrown by both Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift (See No. 2), as well as boos from the audience. Check out Cyrus' stinkeye when she reads Bieber's name in the envelope, seconds before handing him the award for Top Male Artist.

2. Taylor Swift Grossed Out By Justin and Selena: It appears that on-again-off-again couple Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are back on, at least for the moment. And one person that's not happy about it is Taylor Swift. Watch her reaction to the pair sharing a smooch backstage. 

1. Miguel Kicks a Fan: At the end of his performance of "Adorn," Miguel made an ill-advised attempt to leap from the stage onto a platform, over a portion of the audience. Unfortunately, one unlucky fan had a very painful-looking literal brush with fame, as the singer landed on her during his descent, slamming her head into the stage. (Word is the fan is fine; Miguel tweeted after the show: "got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay.")
