Big Bang, Masters of Sex Lead Critics' Choice Nominations

The Big Bang Theory and newcomer Masters of Sex leads this year's Critics' Choice Award nominations. Big Bang scored five nods including Best Comedy Series. Star Jim Parsons is nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, Kaley Cuoco for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, Mayim Bialik for Supporting Actress and James Earl Jones for Best Guest Performance in a Comedy series.

Showtime's new drama also scored five nominations for its first season. The show is up for Best Drama Series while Allison Janney and Beau Bridges are nominated for Best Guest Performance in a Drama series, Lizzy Caplan for Best Actress and Michael Sheen for Best Actor.

Overall, FX leads the networks in nominations with 19, followed closely by HBO which garnered 18. Get the full list of nominees here.
