Beyonce -- aka the Queen Bey -- graces the cover of Vogue's prestigious September issue. She's the first black singer, and only the third black woman to appear on the September cover in all of Vogue history. (The first two were Naomi Campbell in 1989 and Halle Berry in 2010.)
The September issue is traditionally the longest and best-selling issue of the year, so scoring the cover is a huge coup. (There's even a documentary about it.)
The news was announced Thursday by Vogue, which posted a teaser article and video on its website.
Beyonce then posted the cover and other selected photos on Instagram.
