Bette Midler "Still Waiting" for Glee Guest Appearance

Bette Midler

To any Glee fans who are anxiously awaiting Bette Midler's rumored guest appearance on the show: Don't worry — the actress is as well.

In October, creator Ryan Murphy publicly asked Midler to guest-star on Fox's musical series at a charity event, and then reiterated the invitation on Twitter. But he apparently hasn't followed through.

"He mentioned it, but ... I'm still waiting for the call," Midler told Access Hollywood Friday during a press junket for her new movie, Parental Guidance. "But it's fine!"

What was the best TV show of 2012?

Midler said she's been thinking about her appearance and even has a suggestion of how she could be written into the script.

"Maybe I could play [Sue Sylvester's] evil sister," she told Access Hollywood, praising the "hilarious" Jane Lynch, who plays the resentful coach.

Come on, Ryan! Pick up the phone!

Who do you think Midler should play?
