Southland's Tom Everett Scott Joins Beauty and the Beast

Tom Everett Scott has landed a recurring role on Beauty and the Beast, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The Southlandalum will play Sam, an archaeologist with a short fuse who has been in isolation for many years. Sam will first pop up in Episode 12, when he'll cross paths with Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan).

Aside from playing Det. Russell Clarke on the first three seasons of the cop drama, Scott is also known for his roles on Grace Under Fire, Law and Orderandin That Thing You Do!

Beauty and the Beast airs Mondays at 9/8c on The CW.
