The BBC series Merlin, which airs on Syfy in the United States, will come to an end after its fifth season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The final episode will air on Christmas on BBC one.
The show's creators, Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy, are setting up their own television company and are considering spin-offs of the show, according to THR.
Merlin follows the legend of Camelot and stars Colin Morgan, Bradley James and Katie McGrath.
