Battlestar Galactica: Another TV Movie?

The
L.A. Times is reporting that a
Battlestar Galactica TV movie has been green-lit!
There have been rumblings in the blogosphere about such a movie - or movies -- for about a month now. (The
Chicago Tribune's TV blog,
The Watcher, reported that as many of three were in the works.) But the
Times confirmed the green light via an interview with cast member Grace Park, who plays Cylon No. 8 (aka Sharon/Athena) on the Sci Fi series.
Park was unable to dish any juicy details about the movie's story or which actors from the series might be signing on, telling the
Times that "nobody's manager or agent has been called. It's supposed to start in August." But she did mention that the cast's wrap party was on Saturday, so you have to think that some more definitive announcement will be forthcoming very soon. We - and our army of robot reporters -- will keep you posted.
In the meantime, who would you like to see in the new
BSG movie? Of course I loves me some Kara Thrace, but my vote goes to the Quorum. All they ever say is "harrumph harrumph harrumph" every time Prez Ros says anything like it's an old-tymey Colonial courthouse. Those people are in dire need of a backstory. -
