Barbara Walters has been in the hospital for more than a week after she fell and hit her head during pre-Inauguration festivities in Washington, D.C. — and now the Viewco-host has contracted the chickenpox.

While doctors were monitoring Walters after her fall, they noticed her fever was not subsiding and eventually determined that it was due to chickenpox, according to The Associated Press.

One of Walters' View colleagues, Whoopi Goldberg, had firm instructions for the 83-year-old on Monday.

"No scratching!" Goldberg said on The View. "We love you, we miss you. We just don't want to hug you."

Walters has been transferred to a New York hospital, but has been told to rest and is not allowed any visitors, according to Goldberg.
