The Bachelor's Juan Pablo on Jealousy in Week 3: The Girls Know What They Signed Up For

The Bachelor's Juan Pablo broke the one rule he was warned against: Do not kiss a girl in front of the others.
On Monday's group date, the former professional soccer player was in his element when he and the girls got to play the sport on the L.A. Galaxy field. But the ladies got more competitive after the date, especially when they saw him kissing Sharlene. "[I was] in the middle of a soccer field, are you kidding me? I was like, 'I have to do this.'" Juan Pablo told TVGuide.com.

But does he regret the rookie move because of the waves he caused in the house? And what did he really think about bungee-jumping off the bridge with Chelsie? He spills all below.

You had a great one-on-one date with Cassandra. Are you more drawn to her because she's also a single parent?
Juan Pablo Galavis: I wouldn't say more drawn, but more protective. [She] and Renee are my special ones; they're the ones I look at differently than anyone else because they're moms. So, I try to protect them a little bit more and make sure the decisions I make are the right ones as quick as possible because I know they're away from their sons.

The bungee-jumping date was crazy. Were you looking for a more adventurous girl?
Juan Pablo: Definitely. I like sports and adventure and people who go along with the flow because I'm a "go with the flow" kind of guy. I like a girl who if I say, "Let's go to a movie," she puts on sneakers, jeans and we just go. In the case with the dates, they have been very good and spontaneous.

Were you scared at all to jump off the bridge?
Juan Pablo: Of course! I was terrified, but I wasn't going to show Chelsie I was terrified because that would've been terrible. The first time I looked down I said, "Oh my gosh, this looks horrendous." The third time I said, "OK I have to do this, I have to jump."

Had Chelsie not jumped, would you have been bummed?
Juan Pablo: Not at all. It's something you can't control and when it's something scary, you have to respect that. I would've given her a rose anyway. But that trust made me more comfortable with her. It was a great date.

Sean warned you in the premiere not to kiss someone in front of others! Do you regret it?
Juan Pablo: It happens every season. So, I don't even worry about it. It's tough. You get caught up in the moment, and at this point they feel rejected if it doesn't go they want it to. But in the middle of a soccer field, are you kidding me? I was like, "I have to do this." Obviously some girls are going to see, but they know what they're getting into. It's all part of it.

Clare was really upset at the pool party and they're all starting to get really emotional, jealous, etc. Is it hard to manage their feelings?
Juan Pablo: I'm very clear with all of them. They know what they're getting into. It's something I can't control. I try to be as fair as possible and get to know them as much as I can, but in this situation, there is going to be hurt. Clare had the lucky first one-on-one date, and she now has to wait.

We've only gotten one hot tub scene so far. Will there be more?
Juan Pablo: I'm not the kind of guy to be the shirtless guy or sexiest guy, but obviously there are some moments when you get into and it happens. So, it'll come.

What have you learned most about yourself throughout the show so far?
Juan Pablo: Just be yourself and be honest. If you're yourself and you let people know how you feel and about them, then you can sleep and relax. That's the most important thing. If you're not honest or realistic, then you're done.
