Audrina Patridge: Fights on The Hills Were Staged

In news that will shock no one, The Hills star Audrina Patridge says that many of the situations on the MTV "reality" show were, in fact, staged.

"In the beginning, a lot of it was real. As it went on, it was very manipulated and guided," Patridge tells E! News.

Star Kristin Cavallari made similar comments in an interview last month, saying that many of the arguments and relationships on the show were fake.

In her interview with E!, Patridge says producers went as far as literally locking her and Cavallari in a room and keeping them on set until they got the scenes they were looking for. "We were there for about three hours and they were like, 'You can't leave until you and Kristin get into a fight,'" she tells E! "We did it and we got to leave. So, little things like that."
