Aubrey Plaza Escorted Out of MTV Movie Awards After Crashing Will Ferrell's Speech

Aubrey Plaza was escorted out of the MTV Movie Awards by Viacom security Sunday, after she crashed Will Ferrell's speech as he was accepting the Comic Genius Award, Entertainment Weekly reports.

In an act reminiscent of Kanye West running up on stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the 2010 Video Music Awards, Plaza rushed the stage with a drink in her hand and attempted to steal Ferrell's tub of golden popcorn. Ferrell held on to the prize and asked Plaza if she was alright, to which she responded, "Yep."

The Parks and Recreation star made her way back to her front-row seat, but was escorted out of the building by the head of Viacom's security team during the next commercial break, according to EW. "Aubrey Plaza, everyone," Ferrell said after she left the stage. "Just like we rehearsed it."

Plaza made light of the incident later in the evening on Twitter, posting: "thanks for the advice @kanyewest went better than planned!"
