Did Arrow heed our advice on how to make a superhero series work?

Oliver (Stephen Amell) is quickly able to escape Malcolm's (John Barrowman) captivity, but he comes face-to-face with an angry Tommy (Colin Donnell), who saw him hooking up with Laurel (Katie Cassidy) the night before. Oliver reveals the truth about Malcolm's plan to level The Glades, but Tommy is just too angry to listen.

After Oliver tells Moira (Susanna Thompson) the truth that Robert Queen (Jamey Sheridan) actually killed himself to save Oliver, Moira holds a press conference where she admits the truth about the Undertaking, for which she is arrested afterward. Malcolm then tells Tommy that he is the Dark Archer before knocking him out when Tommy tries to stop him.

Earlier in the hour, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) gets brought in for questioning by Detective Lance (Paul Blackthorne), where she helps him to realize that the vigilante may actually be a hero (i.e. on the good side!). But when Lance tries to get the police to help, he's suspended. Fortunately, this new perspective on the vigilante comes in handy later when Oliver asks Lance to help Felicity in dismantling the Undertaking device.

Is Green Lantern coming to Arrow?

Back on the island, Oliver is unable to stop Fyers from firing on the Ferris Air plane, but Shado (Celina Jade) reprograms the missile to miss the airliner and destroy Fyers' camp. Unfortunately, Fyers survives, holding Shado captive. Instead of letting him live in order to find a way off the island, Oliver kills Fyers with an arrow, his first truly badass move towards becoming the vigilante.

While Thea (Willa Holland) heads to The Glades to save Roy (Colton Haynes), both Oliver and Diggle (David Ramsey) go after Malcolm, but they're overpowered, and Diggle is stabbed in the chest. The archers end up on the rooftop fighting it out to the death, literally. Fortunately, Oliver is the one to survive and Detective Lance is able to dismantle the device in time. But before Malcolm passes out, he reveals there's a second device, which begins to destroy The Glades.

Arrow's Felicity Smoak: Love her or leave her?

Laurel, whom Oliver professed his love to earlier in the hour, gets trapped under debris in her office. But Tommy comes to her rescue and also professes his love for her. But before he can get out, the building collapses on him. Oliver finds him moments before he dies, but sadly, Tommy does indeed die.
