Breaking Bad alum Anna Gunn has signed on to co-star in ABC's comedy pilot Chunk & Bean,Deadline reports.

The single-camera comedy is about the unlikely friendship of two misfits, Chunk and Bean, who benefit from having two very different sets of parents living next door to each other.

Gunn will play Dr. Connie Lawson, Chunk's stern psychologist mother who constantly monitors her son's food instant and pressures him to lose weight. Adam Rodriguez will also star in the pilot as Jim Rogerson.

The single-camera project is Gunn's first major TV comedy role. She previously appeared in episodes of Portlandia and The Mindy Project, but Gunn is best known for her drama work in Breaking Bad, Gracepoint and Deadwood. Last year, she starred in the pilot for Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders but dropped out of the series.
