In Anjelica Huston's new memoir Watch Me, the Academy Award-winning actress claims her former boyfriend, actor Ryan O'Neal, once assaulted her during a party in the 1970s.

As first reported by the National Enquirer and verified by The Hollywood Reporter, Huston says O'Neal head-butted her after she walked across a room to avoid a performing belly dancer.

"He turned on me, grabbed me by the hair and hit me in the forehead with the top of his skull," Huston writes. "I saw stars and reeled back. Half blind, I ran away from him."

Huston says she escaped to the bathroom where a few security guards and O'Neal's brother Kevin comforted her. She later followed her boyfriend into the bathroom to speak with him alone. But, "No sooner had I complied then Ryan was in the bathroom, batting me about the head with open hands. Then, abruptly, he left," she writes. Huston broke up with O'Neal following the attack.

The assault isn't the only salacious story Huston tells in Watch Me, which is a follow up to her 2013 memoir A Story Lately Told. She also details the time she was busted for cocaine with director Roman Polanski, whom she met through then-boyfriend Jack Nicholson.

The actress also speaks publicly for the first time about Polanski's sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl at Nicholson's home. "He introduced me to her and said they had been taking pictures," she writes. "I thought no more of it."

Watch Me comes out on Nov. 11.
