While promoting her upcoming memoir Yes Please at last weekend's BookCon, Amy Poehler shared a hilarious story about how Jon Hamm calmed her nerves just days before she was due to give birth to her first child, Archie, in 2008.

According to Vulture, Poehler and Hamm were working together on a Mad Men sketch for Saturday Night Live, as Hamm prepared for his first outing as host of the NBC sketch show. But the timing could not have been worse for Poehler, who learned that her ob-gyn had died just days before her due date.

"So it's my first kid, I'm in a Mad Men outfit, I turn to everybody and I hysterically start crying, and a really pregnant woman crying is terrifying. So, juicy tears just like squirting out of my eyes," Poehler, 42, told the crowd at BookCon. "And Jon Hamm, who I am just getting to know, comes over and puts his hands on my shoulder and is like, 'This is a really important show for me. I'm gonna need you to get your sh-- together.' And I laughed so hard, I probably peed myself — I believe that going through crying to laughing adds like five years to your life."

Hamm and Poehler most recently shared screen time during the season finale of Parks and Recreation, in which Hamm made a surprise guest appearance as a totally inept employee who Leslie had to fire. (Watch the hilarious exchange here.)

Yes Please hits stores on Oct. 28. Will you read Poehler's memoir?
