An absent Taylor Swift topped Sunday's American Music Awards, winning three prizes.

The singer took home favorite adult contemporary artist, favorite pop/rock album for 1989 and song of the year for "Blank Space."

For the second year in a row, One Direction won the top prize, artist of the year. The band was also named favorite pop/rock duo or group for the third straight year at the fan-voted show, which featured performances byPentatonix, Celine Dion, Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth, and many more.
