American Idol Finalists Talk Thursday's Shocking Results, Randy Jackson's Departure

There was plenty of backstage celebration after American Idol's Thursday results show as Candice Glover and Kree Harrison both advanced to the final round of the Fox competition series. But nobody was more surprised than the girls themselves.
"I bought suitcases!" Harrison revealed to reporters. "At some point I thought I was going to go home and I really thought tonight was it. I just can't even believe it, I feel so thankful that people believe in me enough to give me the opportunity to sing again. Now I'm one step closer to making a record and that is crazy!"
This week's live results show also featured one of this season's most shocking eliminations when Angie Miller--who had never been in the bottom two or three throughout her entire Idol run--was sent packing. "I thought Angie was going to win," Glover said. "She was this cute little ball of sunshine that you just want to hug all day. She brought that energy that all of us needed and I was definitely surprised because she was super talented, but she will be top of the charts by next year."
The girls also had some parting words for original judge Randy Jackson, who released a statement earlier in the day saying he will depart the show at the end of this season. "Randy has always been so nice and humble," Harrison said. "He always comes up after the show and gives us constructive criticism."
"Randy saw me grow and saw me become an artist, not just a singer," Glover added. "I admire him and I always look forward to his opinion. I definitely don't think any season after this is ever going to be the same without 'in it to win it,' or without 'yo, dawg.' I think the show is not going to be the same without Randy, ever."
As the ladies count down to the May 15/16 finale, they both share the same preparation plans: plenty of sleep. "I definitely need eight hours at least," Glover laughed. Added Harrison, "I'm going to give it my all so I have no regrets. Whatever happens, I'll know that I did my very best."
