This is just tragic news. Ben Woolf, who played Meep in American Horror Story: Freak Show, has died, TMZ reports. Woolf reportedly died of a stroke at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Woolf was in critical condition after the 4-foot-4 actor was struck in the head by the side mirror of an SUV last Thursday night while crossing a street in Hollywood. The driver of the vehicle was not ticketed or charged because Woolf was jaywalking.

Woolf is best known to TV fans for playing the diminutive Meep, a geek who bit the heads off of small animals. He also made an appearance in Season 1 of American Horror Story as the Infantata, a being crafted together from the remains of the Montgomery family's child.
