There were times that it felt like we'd never reach this moment. But nearly two years after American Gods premiered, and after some tumultuous behind-the-scenes changes that apparently also involved actors becoming writers, we have, at long last, arrived at our final destination. Ladies and gentlemen, the full trailer for Season 2 of Starz's American Gods is here, and it is a sight to behold. The series looks as bold and slick as ever!

The new season picks up shortly after the end of the Season 1 finale, which saw the Old Gods make their presence known by plunging America into a drought. The nearly two-minute trailer features a narration by Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane) that quickly explains why we're all here: Old Gods vs. New Gods, yadda, yadda, yadda. But if you haven't read Neil Gaiman's book upon which the series is based, the rest of the trailer might not make much sense to you as seemingly disconnected scenes are stitched together. So here's what we know is coming in Season 2, based on Starz's handy logline: Shadow (Ricky Whittle) is fully on board with Wednesday and has decided to help in his attempt to convince the Old Gods that war against the New Gods is a good plan; Mr. World (Crispin Glover) is plotting revenge for the attack against him in Season 1; and Laura (Emily Browning) and Mad Sweeney (Pablo Schrieber) are still hanging out together.

So How Different WillAmerican Gods Season 2 Be From Season 1?

Viewers who are also fans of the book will also be happy to see that we're finally going to visit the House on the Rock, and what occurs there will result in chaos that sends both the Old and New Gods on quests which, of course, lead to Cairo, Illinois. We know we won't be getting to Lakeside this season, but dude, just look at that carousel.

American Gods Season 2 premieres Sunday, March 10 at 8/7c on Starz.
