AMC is traveling back to the 1700s for its newest scripted drama, Turn, a thriller series set during the Revolutionary War era that tells the true story of America's first spies.

Based on the book Washington's Spies by Alexander Rose, the series follows Abe Woodhull (Jamie Bell), a Long Island farmer who joins with childhood friends to form a team of secret agents known as The Culper Ring, which assists the rebel army against the British.

Turn, which was written and developed by Nikita's Craig Silverstein, is set to premiere in 2014.
