Amber Heard Might Go to Jail for Smuggling Yorkies Into Australia

Amber Heard is in big trouble over two little dogs!
The actress brought her Yorkies Pistol and Boo to visit her new husband Johnny Depp in Queensland earlier this year, where he was filming the latest installment of Pirates of the Caribbean.
The Australian government discovered the couple had not properly quarantined the dogs before bringing them into the country. They gave the Depps 72 hours to get the dogs out of the country or they'd be euthanized.
Depp and Heard got the pups out in time, but the Australian government apparently wants to make an example of them: On Thursday, they charged her with two counts of illegal importation and one count of producing a false document, according to the Associated Press.
She has been ordered to appear in a Queensland court on Sept. 7. The illegal importation charges carry a maximum prison sentence of 10 years and a fine of up to $75,000 U.S. The false document charge has a maximum one-year prison sentence and a fine of about $7,500 U.S.
Australia's Department of Agriculture website states that dogs entering the country from the United States must first be quarantined for 10 days, to ensure they don't have rabies or other diseases or insects on them that could be passed to local pets. Animals must also have a valid import permit.
According to CNN, the dogs were able to flaunt Australia's biosecurity protocols by entering the country on Depp's private jet; their existence was exposed when Depp's assistant brought them to a local groomer who alerted local authorities.
