Amazon released a second set of original pilots Thursday, which viewers can watch for free through Amazon Prime Instant Video.
The new slate of programming includes five kids shows and five prime-time shows, including two hourlong dramas. Viewer feedback will determine which shows will be picked up for full seasons. Last fall, the Amazon original series Alpha House and Betas got full-season orders.
Below are the details on Amazon's new prime-time pilots. Click here to watch them now.
Bosch: Based on Michael Connelly's best-selling Harry Bosch series, the drama features a LAPD homicide detective who's investigating the murder of a 13-year-old boy, while he's also on trial for allegedly murdering a suspected serial killer. Titus Welliver stars as the title character. Connelly and Eric Overmyer wrote the pilot, with Jim McKay directing.
The After: Written and directed by X-Files creator Chris Carter, The After follows eight strangers who are brought together by mysterious forces and must help each other survive in a violent world that defies explanation. The cast includes Sharon Lawrence, Jamie Kennedy and Adrian Pasdar.
Mozart in the Jungle: Based on the memoir by Blair Tindall, Mozart is a dramedy written by Roman Coppola (Moonrise Kingdom, The Darjeeling Limited) and Jason Schwartzman, along with Alex Timbers. The project explores the sex and drugs that happen behind the scenes of a symphony and stars Gael Garcia Bernal, Saffron Burrows, Malcolm McDowell and Bernadette Peters.
Transparent: The dark comedy from writer/director Jill Soloway (Six Feet Under, United States of Tara) features a Los Angeles family with serious boundary issues whose members are forced to divulge their secrets after a dramatic admission. It stars Jeffrey Tambor, Judith Light and Gaby Hoffman.
The Rebels: A sports comedy about Julie Levine (Natalie Zea), a widow who becomes the owner of a pro football team after her husband's death. The show's creative team also includes Ice Cube and Michael Strahan.
