The Mentalistmay be losing two of its main characters in Season 6.

TVLine.com reports that original castmembers Amanda Righetti and Owain Yeoman will be leaving the procedural toward the end of the sixth season, which premieres on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 10/9c on CBS. However, reps from CBS and Warner Bros., which producers the series, both declined to comment on the report.

"I can neither confirm or deny, but this is the most dramatic and game changing season and anything can happen," creator and executive producer Bruno Heller said in a statement.

With the series getting ready to finally reveal the identity of Red John, it should come as no surprise that some team members may pay the ultimate price. "We're not bumping off the suspects one by one," Hellar recently told TVGuide.com of RJ's identity. "Some will meet an unhappy end, others will live to the denouement."

Righetti and Yeoman, who play Van Pelt and Rigsby respectively, have both been with the series since Season 1.
