Maybe she'll get her happy ending after all?
Amanda Knox, who was famously held in an Italian jail for four years after being convicted of murdering her roommate, is engaged to musician Colin Sutherland, CNN reports.
The 27-year-old, along with her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, was found guilty of murdering her British roommate Meredith Kercher in 2009, two years after Kercher was found dead. Knox spent four years in an Italian prison before the verdicts were overturned on appeal in 2011.
Knox subsequently returned to the United States and resumed her studies at the University of Washington. She released a memoir, titled Waiting to Be Heard, in 2013. She currently works as a freelance journalist in Seattle.
However, she and Sollecito were found convicted again in 2014. Italy's highest court is expected to hear an appeal in the case on March 25 and choose whether Italy may force her to return.
