Acclaimed film director Robert Altman (Nashville, The Player) says he will relocate to Europe if George W. Bush wins the presidential election in November. "If George Bush is elected president, I'm leaving for France," Altman tells Reuters, adding that a Bush victory would be "a catastrophe for the whole world." As a result, the four-time Oscar nominee will be throwing his support behind Al Gore, whom he believes "would be a good president." Meanwhile, on the heels of news that Gore will appear on the season premiere of The Oprah Winfrey Show on Sept. 11, Bush has agreed to stop by as well; he will be Winfrey's guest on Sept. 19.
