"Alexa is stable. Her doctors are assessing her needs and that's all we can say at this moment," a rep for Alexa and her father told the magazine.
Alexa, 23, was rushed to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Manhattan after overdosing on a large number of pills, according to the New York Post.
Alexa is the only daughter of "Piano Man" Billy Joel and model Brinkley, who were married from 1985 to 1994. The boat in Billy's 1989 hit "The Downeaster 'Alexa'" is named after her. In recent years, Alexa has followed in her father's footsteps and is a notable singer and songwriter.
Calls to Alexa's and Billy's rep were not returned.
