Aisha Tyler Joins Ryan Murphy's HBO Pilot Open

Aisha Tyler has landed a guest-starring role on Ryan Murphy's HBO pilot Open, TVLine reports.

Tyler will play Monica, a nurse who works with Grace (Michelle Monaghan) and has a modern outlook on marriage.

The dramatic part will be a bit of a departure for Tyler, who is known for her comedic roles on Archer and Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

Open is a modern exploration of sexuality and relationship that stars Monaghan, Anna Torv, Scott Speedman, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Wes Bentley.
