Aisha Tyler is going from Archer's ISIS to Criminal Minds' BAU: The actress will recur on the procedural in Season 11, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Tyler will play Dr. Tara Lewis, a forensic psychologist who impresses Hotch (Thomas Gibson) during an investigation. She will fill the void left by Kate (Jennifer Love Hewitt), who departed after one season due to Hewitt's pregnancy, and the upcoming maternity leave by A.J. Cook, who is also pregnant.

In May, showrunner Erica Messer told us that she's also toying with the idea of having rotating agents, including bringing back old faces (ahem, Prentiss). "Right now, we're leaning towards keeping that position open but maybe having fun with some guest stars, things like that, especially with A.J. having maternity leave early in the season," she said. "I feel like when you look at 10 years of people we could bring back, it would be fun to be able to do that."

In addition to voicing Agent Lana Kane on Archer, Tyler, who co-starred with Hewitt on Ghost Whisperer, co-hosts The Talk and guest-starred on another CBS show last season, Two and a Half Men.

Entertainment Weekly first reported the news.

Criminal Minds returns Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 9/8c on CBS.

(Full disclosure: TVGuide.com is owned by CBS.)
