The writing's on the wall for Noah (Dominic West) and Alison (Ruth Wilson) in Season 3 of Showtime's The Affair.

The network announced Tuesday that Noah is getting a new love interest on the show in the form of French actress Irene Jacob, who is joining the drama for a season-long arc. She'll play Juliette Le Gall, a woman who's "running from her own secrets" when she becomes involved with Noah.

In the Season 2 finale, Noah was still with Alison, but gave a false murder confession in court in order to protect his ex-wife Helen (Maura Tierney). There's no word yet on how Noah will cross paths with Le Gall, but Juliette "helps [Noah] process a trauma from his past and understand himself a little better," according to the casting notice.

Jacob's film credits include Au Revoir les Enfants, U.S. Marshals, and The Double Life of Veronique.

The Affair returns Sunday, Nov. 20 at 10/9c on Showtime.
