The poll asked if Abdul should join Dancing with the Stars, create an American Idol competitor, star in a sitcom or participate in some other reality show. Fifty-five percent of the 500-plus respondents saw Dancing as the best fit for the former choreographer. Seventeen percent thought a new reality show was the best option. Fourteen percent each wanted her to create an Idol competitor or a sitcom.
Abdul announced her departure from American Idol via Twitter on Aug. 5. ABC Entertainment president Steve McPherson has since said that he'd like to work with Abdul, either via a spot on Dancing or otherwise.
