Syfy has assembled the main cast for its upcoming science-fiction drama Killjoys, a new series from the same production house as Orphan Black and the creator of Lost Girl. British stage actress Hannah John-Kamen, Warehouse 13's Aaron Ashmore, and Brothers and Sisters' Luke Macfarlane will suit up as a trio of fun-loving and hard-living bounty hunters who chase warrants in outer space.
John-Kamen, best known for playing Viva in the West End production of Viva Forever, will play Dutch, who is gorgeous, good at earning people's trust, and has a deep, dark secret.
Ashmore, who's known among the sci-fi crowd for playing Jinks on Warehouse 13 and Jimmy Olsen on Smallville, will star as John Jaqobis. John would rather take the peaceful route, but he's got a smart mouth that gets him into trouble, so he knows how to scrap with the best of 'em.
Macfarlane will play D'avin, a rugged and handsome soldier whose place on the team is all about tactics and military knowledge.
Killjoys has a 10-episode order and will begin production in Toronto on Aug. 5. No premiere date has been set.
