Whoopi Goldberg has been named the host of
The 62nd Annual Tony Awards, scheduled for Sunday, June 15 (8 pm/ET, CBS).
This will be Goldberg's first stint at hosting the Tonys. She has hosted the Academy Awards ceremony four times.
The
View moderator won a Tony Award herself in 2002 for her role in
Thoroughly Modern Millie. She has also won a Grammy, an Oscar, an Emmy and a Golden Globe throughout her career. -
