NBC's The West Wing, nominated for 18 Emmys, racked up more honors yesterday when Viewers for Quality Television named it TV's best quality drama, and its stars, Martin Sheen and John Spencer, best actor and supporting actor respectively. CBS's Everybody Loves Raymond nearly swept the comedy field, winning best quality comedy for the second year in a row, best actor in a comedy (Ray Romano), best actress in a comedy (Patricia Heaton) and best supporting actress in a comedy (Doris Roberts). Other winners include Once and Again's Sela Ward (best actress in a drama), Judging Amy's Tyne Daly (best supporting actress in a drama) and Frasier's David Hyde Pierce (best supporting actor in a comedy). Buffy the Vampire Slayer, meanwhile, was the recipient of the annual Founders Award, given to an overlooked show.
