"Sickest" Storyline Has Kristen Bell Hot for Heroes

It was gadget-geek heaven at the Sony Cierge Spring Preview party. The event, held Wednesday at PaliHouse in West Hollywood, gave the by-invitation-only members of the Cierge program a sneak peak at the latest Sony cameras, PCs and TVs.

Stacy Keibler checked out Sony's ultra-thin OLED flat-screen television with some gal pals, while
Rachael Harris of
Notes from the Underbelly strolled around with her husband, actor Adam Paul. Of her ABC comedy, Harris lamented that the remaining eight episodes might not ever see the light of day. "It's disappointing," she said. "But what can you do?"
Staying for the evening's big draw - the Sony PlayStation SingStar karaoke event - were
Allison Janney and
Missi Pyle. Before jumping onstage with Pyle to launch into Elton John's "Rocket Man," Janney told us, "I need to sing tonight because I'm doing [the stage] musical
9 to 5 and I'm trying to get my voice into shape!" The two received applause from the crowd, with
Kristen Bell cheering the loudest.
Bell herself had a bit of
Heroes scoop for TV Guide. "Besides having had such a good time because everyone on that show is so wonderful, part of the reason why I will return is because they wrote me the
sickest storyline I've ever heard!" she raved. "We already shot part of it, but the writers' strike interrupted the second half, and they can't air the first half until they shoot the second half. I just feel honored that I've been given this storyline."
After a hilarious rendition of "Eye of the Tiger" with
Ugly Betty's Octavia Spencer, Pyle shared that she'll be taping a
Boston Legal next week. "My character, attorney Renee Winger, is coming back," she said. "She's a little crazy - this time, she's suing the archdiocese because she wants to be a priest. She's really deadpan and one of the most fun characters that I've ever gotten to play." -
