Showtime Sets Premiere Lineup for its Leading Ladies

Secret Diary of a Call Girl courtesy Showtime
Look out, Oxygen: Showtime could be emerging as the other destination for ladies - albeit not the warm-fuzzy types. The net has announced that both new and returning female-driven shows will premiere in a triple-header on Sunday, Jan. 18.

The back-to-back lineup will kick off at 9 pm with start of The L Word's sixth and final season, followed by the 10 pm series debut of United States of Tara. As previously reported, the half-hour dramedy stars Toni Collette as a suburban mom with a dissociative identity disorder. Executive producers include Juno mastermind Diablo Cody and Steven Spielberg, among others.

Rounding out the night at the appropriately later hour of 10:30 pm will be Secret Diary of a Call Girl (yes, Belle du Jour's really back for more). Kicking off its second season, the series will see Belle finding new independence - and a hanger-on.
