Shark

Returns: Tuesday, April 29 (CBS)

Number of new episodes: 4

Where we left off: Sebastian Stark (James Woods) saw a dark secret surface after a bullet with his name on it killed friend and former law partner Paul Faber (Joe Spano). To put the man responsible behind bars, Stark confessed to conspiring in the cover-up of a murder 12 years ago. But would he lose his license for testifying?

What's next: Stark gets disbarred in California. Angry and bitter, he'll return to the dark side, defending a corrupt casino owner (Nestor Serrano) accused of murder in Las Vegas. His team from the DA's office and a newbie, Jordan Westlake (Paula Marshall), stick by his side, and he quickly redeems himself. "By some twist of fate he will get his license back by the end of Episode 2," executive producer Ian Biederman says. In the season finale, Stark's nemesis, the notorious serial killer Wayne Callison (Billy Campbell), escape prison and seeks revenge that will place Stark's daughter, Julie (Danielle Panabaker), in mortal danger.

Here's Hef!: A murder in the music business takes the team to the infamous Playboy mansion, and Hugh Hefner will make an appearance.

Where's Jeri?: Jeri Ryan, who plays Stark's sexy sidekick Jessica Devlin, is on maternity leave. "I would like to have her back as soon as possible, for as much as possible," says Biederman. Who wouldn't?
