Sarah Michelle Gellar's Wonderful TV Return

Sarah Michelle Gellar is ready to slay TV viewers again.

The erstwhile vampire slayer is set to return to the small screen - no, not as Buffy - in a new HBO series, Variety reports.

The Wonderful Maladys, developed by Charles Randolph for the actress, will focus on a trio of dysfunctional siblings still reeling from the loss of their parents at an early age.

Gellar's character is described as having "a kind of zealous immaturity - like a drug addict with a to-do list."

The duo will also serve as executive producers on the half-hour series, to be shot single-camera style. Filming will begin in early 2009.
