E! Entertainment television has confirmed the particulars of
Ryan Seacrest's massive new deal with the network, in which the
American Idol host will serve as managing editor and lead anchor of
E! News beginning in March, executive-produce and cohost E!'s
Live from the Red Carpet awards-show coverage, and produce series for the channel via Ryan Seacrest Productions. "This is a huge coup for E!," says president and CEO
Ted Harbert in a statement. "[Ryan] is the best at what he does" — which, I always thought, was making
Idol viewers wait through countless commercials.
