MTV's pioneering reality soap, The Real World, is returning to its roots. The network confirms that the show's 10th season will be set in New York, the location of the first Real World. It remains unclear where in the Big Apple the show will take up residence, but earlier reports suggested the network was considering Harlem. Additionally, MTV will start airing two seasons of the show within one year's time, with the 10th season debuting in June 2001 and the 11th in January 2002. The network also ordered another season of Road Rules.
