Question: Wasn't there a show called Maggie Winters that came on CBS in the past couple of years? If so, who had the starring role? My friends and I have been trying to figure it out but cannot find any information anywhere. — Julia

Televisionary: Yes indeedy, there was a CBS sitcom called Maggie Winters, Julia, but if you left the room for a snack, you may have missed it.

The series, which ran from the fall of 1998 to February of '99, starred Murphy Brown's Faith Ford as Maggie, a young wife who returned to her Indiana hometown after her dentist husband ran off with his assistant. Her mom (Shirley Knight) took her back in, she went to work at a department store and a series was born. Only it didn't live long.

Don't cry for Ford, though. She parlayed a stint as last season's love interest to Norm's Norm Macdonald into a steady gig. This year, she's a regular.
