Paris Hilton Sued for Not Fulfilling Her Pledge

Paris Hilton in National Lampoon's Pledge This! courtesy Freestyle Releasing

Paris Hilton is probably hoping this is just a bad case of sorority hazing.

According to the AP, Hilton is being sued for $75,000 in damages by Worldwide Entertainment Group, Inc., which alleges the heiress/model/actress did not fulfill her duties in properly promoting the 2006 sorority comedy National Lampoon's Pledge This!.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Miami, states Hilton and her company, Paris Hilton Entertainment Inc., received $1 million as payment for "Hilton's acting services" and "reasonable promotion and publicity" of the flick. In addition to starring in the movie as the president of an exclusive sorority, Hilton also was credited as an executive producer.

Hilton has yet to make a statement regarding the suit. - Adam Bryant
