Misty May-Treanor Digs Waverly Place Visit

Dancing with Maksim Chmerkovskiy and going on Oprah is clearly not enough TV time for Misty May-Treanor. So what's a two-time Olympic gold medalist to do? Book a guest appearance on Wizards of Waverly Place, that's what.

According to People, May-Treanor will portray herself in an upcoming episode, in which she drops in on Max (Jake T. Austin) after hearing about a "mysterious ailment" that afflicts him.

"Since my return from Beijing I've had opportunities to be involved with fun projects outside of beach volleyball," she said. "I can't wait to meet the cast and be part of such a creative show."

May-Treanor will tape the episode on Sept. 9, which will cut into her rehearsal time for Dancing with the Stars. The 31-year-old will strut her stuff the hardwood on Sept. 22. - Joyce Eng
