Melanie Griffith has enrolled in a recovery program in Los Angeles to treat an addiction to prescription medication, Access Hollywood reports on tonight's broadcast (check local listings). "My doctor has referred me to the Daniel Freeman Hospital [in Marina Del Rey, CA] to step down from the prescribed medication that I have been taking for a neck injury," the actress said in a statement. "I appreciate everyone's concern, and I am sure that you will respect my and my family's privacy." Griffith — who is married to actor Antonio Banderas and has three children — has battled drugs (as well as alcohol) before; she came to terms with her addiction in 1988 while making Working Girl.
