Lisa Kudrow's New Show, Courtesy of Lexus

Lisa Kudrow has a new show, but you'll have to sit through some car ads to see it.

Actually, the whole show is kind of a car ad. Kudrow's Web Therapy appears exclusively on L Studio, a new online channel hosted by Lexus.

In the show, the Emmy-winning Friends actress plays a psychotherapist who conducts absurdly unhelpful three-minute sessions via the Internet. Her clients will be played by Bob Balaban, Jane Lynch, Rashida Jones, Tim Bagley and Dan Bucatinsky.

The site is Lexus' latest attempt to meld ads and entertainment: It previously enlisted well-known authors to write an online novel with special appearances by its cars.

One major advertiser has attempted its own network already: Lexus said it is learning from the mistakes of Budweiser's Bud.TV, which initially fumbled after a Super Bowl 2006 kickoff, despite a reported investment of $30 million.

Sandy Blanchard, owner experience manager at Lexus' marketing division, who oversees L Studio, told The Hollywood Reporter the channel's programs will barely mention the Lexus brand.

"We don't want to force it," Blanchard said.

Blanchard did not provide the budget for L Studio.

In October, the network will introduce another scripted series, Puppy Love, from Sex and the City writer-producer Amy B. Harris. The cast includes Famke Janssen, Janel Moloney and Heather Burns.
