Jerry Seinfeld Unhurt in Car Accident

Jerry Seinfeld escaped serious injury after the brakes on one of his classic cars gave out and the car rolled over. He was driving his 1967 Fiat BTM along a road in East Hampton, Long Island, when police say the brakes failed, as did the car's emergency brake.
Seinfeld, 53, who was driving alone, then swerved to avoid an intersection when the car flipped over yards away from the highway. Police attributed the wreck to mechanical failure.
Ever the comic, Seinfeld joked about the incident, but promised to drive more safely.
"Because I know there are kids out there, I want to make sure they all know that driving without braking is not something I recommend, unless you have professional clown training or a comedy background, as I do," Seinfeld said. "It is not something I plan to make a habit of."
He did not require medical attention. -
